Join West Brom, Gareth Barry Can Break Record Giggs
West Bromwich Albion managed to bring in their fourth new player in the summer of 2017 by bringing the aging midfielder from Everton, Gareth Barry.
It is not known how much the value of the transfer issued West Bromwich Albion to bring Gareth Barry. The 36-year-old was also awarded only a season-long contract.
“I want to join and help the team, it’s always done with any club I defend,” Barry told the club’s official website.
“I want to help the team improve the game, work hard, and hopefully improve the quality of the team,” he said.
The official website of West Brom said that it managed to get Barry after the player refused to renew the contract with Everton.
This is done Barry in order to get a chance to play more for overtaking the record of most Premier League appearances or the highest caste of English League from the hands of Manchester United legend Ryan Giggs.
Until now, Barry has played in 628 English League matches or just quarrel four with Giggs’s record.
This is believed to be a bit more difficult to get Barry if staying with Everton, let alone erlebih with the arrival of Davy Klassen who appeared in the same position with him.
When viewed from the number of minutes of play, Barry ahead of Giggs. He has 52,623 minutes in the Premier League, while Giggs, who has now retired “only” has 47,378 minutes to perform.
Throughout his career, Barry has defended many clubs in the highest caste of the English League. The clubs are Aston Villa (1998-2009), Manchester City (2009-2014), and Everton (2014-2017).
